About Patron Material Ratings

This feature allows patrons to rate books or other materials in MORRIS after first logging in with net ID. Click one of the five indicators to rate on a scale of one to five, with one being the lowest and five being the highest rating.

Ratings display will differ depending on log in status and rating status

• If you are not logged in and a title is not yet rated, five gray stars appear and the mouse over will display "No one has rated this material." When you click the stars, you will be prompted for net ID.
• If you are not logged in and a title has been rated, you will see blue stars. Mousing over the ratings tool displays a group rating message. For example: Rated 3 stars out of 5 based on 4 ratings
• If you are logged in, and material is unrated, mousing over the ratings tool changes the indicator to stars with ? and prompts you to rate the material.
• If you are logged in, and material is rated, mousing over will display the group rating. Clicking on the indicator will change the rating of the material.

My Ratings

You can view a list of all materials you have rated using the My Ratings link from the View Your MORRIS Record page. Stars are yellow. You can change individual ratings by clicking one of the five indicators in the ratings tool next to the title. You can also delete individual ratings by checking the box next to the titles and clicking Delete Marked, or all ratings by clicking the link Delete All.

Explanation of Ratings
Color Coding	Yellow - your rating. (You will see this in your patron record.)  |Blue - group rating.  |Gray - needs to be rated.
	Excellent. Highly recommend.
	Very Good. Exceeds expectations.
	Good. Met expectations but did not exceed them
	Fairly low opinion. Recommend only with reservations.
	Extremely low opinion of this item. Would not recommend.
	Never been rated. No recommendation available.
